Death Bed
เตียงมรณะ
It was early in the morning at four,
When death knocked upon a bedroom door,
มันเป็นเวลาเช้าตรู่ตอนตีสี่
เมื่อความตายมาเคาะประตูห้องนอน
Who is there? The sleeping one cried.
I'm Malakul Mawt, let me inside.
นั่นใครหน่ะ เสียงของผู้ถูกปลุกร้องถาม
ฉันคือ มาลาอิกะฮ์แห่งความตาย ให้ฉันเข้าไปข้างในเถิด
At once, the man began to shiver,
As one sweating in deadly fever,
ชายที่อยู่บนเตียงนอนตัวสั่นด้วยความกลัว
เหงื่อแตกด้วยความกลัวตาย
He shouted to his sleeping wife,
Don't let him take away my life.
เขาตะโกนปลุกภรรยาของเขา
และบอกเธอว่า อย่าให้เขาเอาชีวิตฉันไป
Please go away, O Angel of Death!
Leave me alone; I'm not ready yet.
ได้โปรดไปเถอะ ท่านมาลาอิกะฮ์แห่งความตาย
ปล่อยฉันไปเถอะ ฉันยังไม่พร้อม
My family on me depends,
Give me a chance, O please prepense!
ฉันมีครอบที่ต้องดูแล
ให้โอกาสฉันเถอะ ได้โปรด
The angel knocked again and again,
Friend! I'll take your life without a pain,
มาลาอิกะฮ์แห่งความตาย เคาะประตูต่อไป
เพื่อน ฉันจะดึงดวงวิญญาณท่านอย่างแผ่วเบา
This your soul Allah requires,
I come not with my own desire.
วิญญาณของท่านเป็นที่ต้องการของอัลเลาะห์(ซ.บ)
ฉันไม่ได้มาหาท่านด้วยความปารถนาของฉัน
Bewildered, the man began to cry,
O Angel I'm so afraid to die,
ชายหนุ่มเริ่มร้องไห้
โอ้ มาลาอิกะฮ์แห่งความตาย ฉันกลัวความตาย
I'll give you gold and be your slave,
Don't send me to the unlit grave.
ฉันจะให้ทอง และ ยอมเป็นทาสของท่าน
อย่าเอาชีวิตฉันเลย
Let me in, O Friend! The Angel said,
Open the door; get up from your bed,
ให้ฉันเข้าไปเถอะเพื่อน
ลุกขึ้นจากเตียง และ มาเปิดประตู
If you do not allow me in,
I will walk through it, like a Jinn.
ถ้าคุณไม่เปิดประตู
ฉันจะเดินผ่านเข้าไป เหมือนกับ ญิน
The man held a gun in his right hand,
Ready to defy the Angel's stand.
ชายหนุ่มหยิบปืนด้วยมือขวา
ท้าทาย มาลาอิกะฮ์ แห่งความตาย
I'll point my un, towards your head,
You dare come in; I'll shoot you dead.
ผมจะยิงคุณ ถ้าคุณกล้าเข้ามา
By now the Angel was in the room,
> >>Saying, O Friend! Prepare for you doom.
ขณะนี้ มาลาอิกะฮ์แห่งความตายอยู่ในห้องแล้ว
โอ้เพื่อน เตรียมพร้อมสำหรับการพิพากษาเถิด
Foolish man, Angels never die,
Put down your gun and do not sigh.
ชายหนุ่มที่โง่เขลาเอ๋ย มาลาอิกะฮ์ไม่มีวันตาย
วางปืนลงเสียเถิด
Why are you afraid! Tell me O man,
To die according to Allah's plan?
ทำไมคุณถึงกลัวล่ะ บอกฉันสิ
ความตายเป็นสิ่งที่พระองค์กำหนดแล้ว
Come smile at me, do not be grim,
Be Happy to return to Him.
มาหาฉันสิ อย่าขัดขืนเลย
คุณจะมีความสุขเมื่อกลับไปหาพระองค์
O Angel! I bow my head in shame,
I had no time to take Allah's Name.
โอ้ ท่านมาลาอิกะฮ์แห่งความตาย ฉันรู้สึกละอายเหลือเกิน
ฉันไม่มีเวลาที่จะเอ่ยนามอัลเลาะห์ (ซ.บ)
From morning till dusk, I made my wealth,
Not even caring for my health.
ตั้งแต่เช้าจรดค่ำ ฉันมัวแต่ยุ่งกับงานของฉัน
ไม่มีเวลาแม้แต่ดูแล สุขภาพของตัวเอง
Allah's command I never obeyed,
Nor five times a day I ever prayed.
คำสั่งของอัลเลาะห์(ซ.บ) ฉันไม่เคยปฎิบัติ
ละหมาด 5 เวลา ไม่เคยทำ
A Ramadan came and a Ramadan went,
But no time had I to repent.
ถึงเดือนรอมดอนก็ไม่เคยถือศีลอด
The Hajj was already FARD on me,
But I would not part with my money.
ฉันมีเงินมากแต่ก็ไม่ยอมไปทำฮัจย์
All charities I did ignore,
Taking usury more and more.
ฉันไม่เคยบริจาคทาน
ฉันกินแต่ดอกเบี้ย
O Angel! I appeal to you,
Spare my life for a year or two.
โอ้ ท่านมาลาอิกะฮ์แห่งความตาย ฉันวิงวอนท่าน
โปรดต่ออายุให้ฉันอีก ปี หรือ 2 ปีได้ไหม
The Laws of Quran I will obey,
I'll begin SALAT this very day.
ฉันจะปฎิบัติตามคำภีร์อัลกุรอาน
ฉันจะละหมาดทุกวัน
My Fast and Hajj, I will complete,
And keep away from self-conceit.
ฉันจะไปทำฮัจย์ และห่างไกลจากความยะโสโอหัง
I will refrain from usury,
And give all my wealth to charity,
ฉันจะเลิกกินดอกเบี้ยและจะบริจาคทาน
We Angels do what Allah demands,
We cannot go against His commands.
เราเป็นมาลาอิกะฮ์ เราทำตามคำสั่งพระองค์
เราไม่สามารถฝ่าฝืนคำสั่งพระองค์ได้
Death is ordained for everyone,
Father, mother, daughter or son.
ไม่มีใครหลีกหนีความตาย พ่อ แม่ ลูกสาว ของลูกชาย
I'm afraid this moment is your last,
Now be reminded, of your past,
ฉันเกรงว่านี่คือวาระสุดท้ายของท่าน
I do understand your fears,
But it is now too late for tears.
ฉันเข้าใจถึงความกลัวของคุณแต่มันสายไปเสียแล้ว
You lived in this world, two score and more,
Never did you, your people adore.
คุณอยู่บนโลกนี้ เพื่อสะสมเสบียงสู่โลกหน้า
ไม่ใช่เพื่อให้ผู้คนยกย่อง
Your parents, you did not obey,
Hungry beggars, you turned away.
คุณไม่เชื่อฟังพ่อแม่ คุณไล่ขอทานที่หิวโหย
Instead of making more Muslims,
You made your children non-Muslims.
แทนที่คุณจะเพิ่มลูกหลานมุสลิม
คุณกลับทำให้ลูกคุณเป็นคนต่างศาสนา
You ignored the Mua'dhin Adhaan,
Nor did you read the Holy Quran.
คุณละเลยซุนนะห์ และไม่เคยอ่านอัลกรุอาน
Breaking promises all your life,
Backbiting friends, and causing strife.
คุณไม่เคยรักษาสัญญา และ ทรยศเพื่อนของคุณ
From hoarded goods, great profits you made,
And your poor workers, you underpaid.
คุณขายของได้กำไรมาก
แต่คุณกดค่าแรงลูกจ้างของคุณ
Horses and cards were your leisure,
Moneymaking was your pleasure.
เวลาว่างเล่นการพนัน เงินคือความปรารถนาของคุณ
You ate vitamins and grew more fat,
With the very sick, you never sat.
คุณกินอาหารเสริมมาก แต่ อ้วนเหมือนหมูและเจ็บป่วย
A pint of blood you never gave,
Which could a little baby save?
คุณสามารถบริจาคเลือดเพื่อช่วยชีวิตเด็กทารกแต่คุณปฎิเสธ
O Human, you have done enough wrong,
You bought good properties for a song.
คุณทำความผิดมาเกินพอแล้ว
คุณซื้อสิ่งต่างๆ เพื่อความบันเทิง
When the farmers appealed to you,
You did not have mercy, tis true.
เมื่อชาวนามาขอร้องคุณ คุณไม่เคยเมตตา
Paradise for you? I cannot tell,
Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.
สวรรค์สำหรับคุณเหรอ ฉันบอกไม่ได้
ไม่ต้องสงสัย คุณจะลงนรกแน่นอน
There is no time for you to repent,
I'll take your soul for which I am sent.
ไม่มีเวลาสำหรับคุณแล้ว ฉันจะเอาวิญญาณคุณแล้ว
The ending however, is very sad,
Eventually the man became mad
เมื่อวาระสุดท้ายใกล้มาถึง เขาเริ่มเสียใจ
จนเริ่มจะเป็นบ้า
With a cry, he jumped out of bed,
And suddenly, he fell down dead.
เขาร้องไห้ และ กระโดดออกจากเตียง
และทันใดนั้น เขาตาย
O Reader! Take moral from here,
You never know, your end may be near
โอ้ท่านผู้อ่าน หวังว่าคุณจะได้รับอุทาหรณ์
คุณไม่มีทางรู้ว่า คุณจะตายเมื่อไหร่
Change your living and make amends
For heaven, on your deeds depends.
เปลี่ยนชีวิตของคุณ เพื่อสวรรค์
