Stories from the Honourable Qur’an Series:
قال الله تعالى: فاقصص القصص لعلهم يتفكرون
This Qur’anic verse 176 of Suratul-‘A-^raf means: {[O Mohammad] tell the stories [of previous blasphemers] so that they [the blasphemers of your time] may reflect}
In the Honourable Qur’an, numerous are the stories that tell about the previous nations. Those who are guided and follow the messengers of Allah, Allahwill endow them with power on earth. Those who disbelieve and turn away from the call of the Prophets will be punished by Allah and will be a paradigm for others to learn from.
As for the illustrations in this series, they are used to represent the situations by example and do not in any way claim to depict the original situations per se. Our hope is that the readers enjoy these stories derived from the Noble Qur’an and learn lessons from them. We ask Allah to grant our readers the ability to perform the acceptable, good deeds.
อัลลอฮฺตรัสว่า
{فَاقْصُصِ الْقَصَصَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ}
"โอ้มุฮัมมัด จงบอกกล่าวเรื่องราว (ของกลุ่มชนที่ดูหมิ่นศาสนา) เผื่อว่าพวกเขา (ผู้ดูหมิ่นศาสนาในยุคของเจ้า) จะได้ไตร่ตรอง" [หมวดอัลอะอฺรอฟ: มาตรา 176]
ในคัมภีร์อัลกุรฺอานนั้นอัลลอฮฺทรงบอกเล่าเรื่องราวของชนรุ่นก่อน ๆ กัลยาณชนที่ได้รับทางนำและเจริญรอยตามศาสดาของอัลลอฮฺ พระองค์ทรงประทานอำนาจแก่พวกเขา ทว่าทุรชนที่ผินหลังต่อคำเรียกร้องเชิญชวนของศาสดาประกาศกหาได้รอดพ้นจากโทษทัณฑ์ของอัลลอฮฺแต่ประการใด และกลุ่มทุรชนนั้นยังเป็นอุทาหรณ์ต่อชนอื่น ๆ เรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ที่ถูกพรรณนาไปตามสถานการณ์ที่แตกต่างกันไป เราหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าผู้อ่านจะได้รับประโยชน์จากเรื่องราวทางประวัติศาสตร์ที่ถูกถ่ายทอดผ่านอัลกุรฺอาน และเรียนรู้บทเรียนจากเรื่องราวเหล่านั้น เราขอพรจากอัลลอฮฺให้ผู้อ่านมีกำลังวังชาในการพระพฤติในสิ่งที่ชอบด้วยอิสลามด้วยเทอญ

On the shores of the red sea, was the city of Aylah. The story of this city was mentioned in the holy Quran. In this city the people of ‘As-Sabit’ (Saturday) lived. They were greatly disobedient to Allah, and as a consequence Allah punished them by transforming them into monkeys and pigs.
ณ ชายฝั่งทะเลแดง มีเมืองหนึ่งชื่อว่าเมืองอัยละฮฺ (Aylah) ซึ่งเรื่องราวของเมืองนี้ถูกกล่าวไว้ในอัลกุรฺอาน เมืองนี้มีชาวอัซซาบิต (ชาววันเสาร์) พำนักอยู่ พวกเขาไม่เชื่อฟังต่ออัลลอฮฺอย่างออกหน้าออกตา ส่งผลให้อัลลอฮฺทรงสาปแช่งพวกเขาให้กลายเป็นลิงและหมู
Prior to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him receiving the revelations of prophethood, the non-believers kept this story a secret. They concealed the story of some of their ancestors as it was humiliating, shameful and disgraceful to spread that they were mutated and destroyed. Allah exposed them and revealed to his dear prophet Muhammad peace be upon him their story in the holy Quran, warning the non believers of the consequences of their arrogance, stubbornness, and refusal to believe in the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, and reminding them of what had happened to some of their ancestors in the city of Aylah.
ท่านรอซูลมุฮัมมัด (ศ็อลลัลลอฮุอะลัยฮิวะซัลลัม) ได้ถูกแต่งตั้งเป็นศาสดาประกาศกท่านหนึ่ง กลุ่มทุรชนในยุคนั้นบิดบังซ่อนเร้นเรื่องราวนี้ เนื่องด้วยอับอายขายขี้หน้าต่อบรรพบุรุษที่ถูกสาปเป็นลิงและหมู อัลลอฮฺทรงบอกกล่าวเรื่องราวนี้ต่อท่านรอซูลมุฮัมมัด (ศ็อลลัลลอฮุอะลัยฮิวะซัลลัม) ในอัลกุรอาน ที่ได้เตือนผู้ปฏิเสธที่ยิ่งผยองและปฏิเสธต่อท่านรอซูล และเพื่อเป็นการตอกซ้ำย้ำเตือนแก่ผู้ปฏิเสธถึงเรื่องราวที่ประสบต่อบรรพบุรุษพวกเขา ณ เมืองอัยละฮฺ
The Muslims among the children of Prophet Isra’il ^Alayhissalam during the days of prophet Dawud (David) ^alahi-Salam and before did not work trade or engage in manufacturing or fishing on As-Sabit (Saturday) also referred to as their day of Sabbath. This was made forbidden upon them by set of the rules of their times that God revealed. Allah the all mighty made it a test upon them exposing to the people the ones that disobey His orders from the ones that obey them. On Saturdays the whales and the fish appeared in plentiful. They came so close to the shore that one could almost catch them by hand. Allah inspired the fish to come near on Saturdays as they would not be caught, because the Children of Isra’il were not allowed to fish on that day.
ในยุคท่านนบีดาวุด (อะลัยฮิสสลาม) กลุ่มมุสลิมที่เป็นลูกหลานท่านนบีอิสรออิล (อะลัยฮิสสลาม) และชนก่อนหน้านั้น มิได้ทำการค้าผลิตสินค้าและตกปลากันในวันเสาร์ ซึ่งเป็นวันแห่งการพักผ่อนหรือทำอิบาดะฮฺ ซึ่งในวัน (เสาร์) นั้นเป็นวันที่อัลลอฮฺทรงห้ามเหนือพวกเขา อัลลอฮฺทรงทดสอบพวกเขาเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เชื่อฟังพระองค์ได้ประจักษ์แจ้ง หากไม่เชื่อฟัง ซึ่งทุก ๆ วันเสาร์ฝูงปลาวาฬและปลามากมายปรากฏให้เห็น ปลาเหล่านั้นมีมากมายจนพวกเขาสามารถจับมันด้วยมือตามชายหาด ทุก ๆ วันเสาร์เป็นวันที่ปลาเหล่านั้นจะอยู่ได้อย่างเป็นสุข เนื่องด้วยพระองค์ทรงห้ามลูกหลานอิสรออีลจับปลาในวันดังกล่าว
They came in huge numbers to the sea shore of Aylah, where they packed not being frightened or scared away by anyone. On other days however, the whales and the fish would stay at the bottom of the see unseen, until it was the next Saturday, when the fish would emerge again. The case is, however, that the evil person can be easily driven by the devil toward disobedience. One of the people of that city was tempted by the devil when he desired to eat fish. The devil made it easy for him as he tempted him to improvise a trick to fish what he desires. So on the Saturday when this man saw a big fish swimming close by near the shore, he deviously tied its tail with a rope to a stump on the coast, and then he left.
ฝูงปลาแหวกว่ายน้ำมากันที่แถบชายหาดอัยละฮฺที่ที่ไม่มีใครทำให้มันกลัว แต่ในวันอื่น ๆ นั้นพวกปลาเหล่านี้จะอยู่ใต้ทะเลน้ำลึกที่คนมองไม่เห็น เว้นแต่วันเสาร์เท่านั้นที่ฝูงปลาจะออกมา อยู่ ๆ มีคนชั่วคนหนึ่งถูกชัยฏอนยุแยงตะแคงรั่วให้ดื้อแพ่งต่อคำสั่งของอัลลอฮฺ ฝูงปลาจำนวนมากมายนั้นเป็นสิ่งล่อตาล่อใจเขายิ่งนัก ในที่สุดด้วยความหิวกระหายที่จะกินปลา ชัยฏอนเจ้าเล่ห์เพทุบายวางแผนให้ชายโฉดตกปลาในวันเสาร์ ชายโฉดเห็นปลาตัวโตแหวกว่ายเข้ามาใกล้ยังชายฝั่ง เขาจึงเอาปลายเชือกข้างหนึ่งผูกหางปลาและปลายเชือกอีกข้างหนึ่งผูกกับไม้ที่ปักบนโขดหิน แล้วเขาก็จากไป
When the day ended, the man came back and with his trickery he took the fish home. There he cleaned it and grilled it, but unexpectedly the smell escaped until it was all around the house. His neighbours came around questioning the source. At first he denied what he did, but when they insisted he said that he was grilling some fish skin that he had found.
เมื่อใกล้พลบค่ำ เขากลับมาเอาปลา ล้างนอกล้างในแล้วก็ปิ้งย่างปลานั้นเสีย กลิ่นย่างปลาส่งกลิ่นตลบอมอวนไปทั่วบ้าน เพื่อนบ้านก็มาถามถึงกลิ่นดังกล่าว แต่ชายโฉดทำเป็นไขสือ ครั้นเพื่อนบ้านคะยั้นคะยอ เขาเลยปริปากบอกไปว่า เขากำลังย่างหนังปลาที่เขาไปพบมา
On the following Saturday, the man did the same thing all over again. But this time when the people questioned him about the smell, he said “ If you wish you can do what I do”, and when they asked “ What is that you do?” he informed them about his devious way. As a result, these people started doing what he was doing.
วันเสาร์ถัดมาชายโฉดยังพฤติกรรมเช่นเดิม แต่คราวนี้เมื่อมีผูคนถาม เขาตอบไปว่า ถ้าพวกเธออยากจะได้ก็ทำอย่างฉันซิ ชาวบ้านถามต่อว่า เธอทำอะไรน่ะ? เขาก็เลยบอกความจริงไป จนชาวบ้านชาวช่องทำในสิ่งที่เขาทำ
These people went even further than the man had told them. They started improvising different means to that trick. It was said that on Friday some of them Would dig holes on the shore, and they would channel them to sea, where the channels could be easily closed. When Saturday comes the fish will swim into these holes only to be entrapped in them. It was also said that they went on big boats and guided the fish through to the dug out holes and closed the channels keeping them captured there. On Sunday they would come and take out trapped fish.
ชาวบ้านแหล่านั้นทำยิ่งกว่าที่ชายโฉดบอกเสียอีก พวกเขามีเพทุบายที่แตกต่างกันไป ว่ากันว่าในวันศุกร์พวกเขาขุดหลุมขนาดมหึมาที่ชายหาดให้มีช่องคลองต่อกับทะเล เพื่อจะได้ปิดชายฝั่งได้ง่ายขึ้น เมื่อถึงวันเสาร์ฝูงปลาก็จะแหวกว่าย แล้วตกลงในหลุมพลางนั้น บ้างก็ว่ากันว่าบางคนเอาเรือไปไล่ต้อนฝูงปลาให้เข้ามายังหลุมที่ขุดไว้ แล้วปิดปากคลอง หลังจากนั้นแล้วปล่อยทิ้งไว้ เพื่อจะมาเอาในวันรุ่งขึ้น (วันอาทิตย์)
This action was widespread and many of them practised it. The situation kept on mounting until they started fishing openly on Saturday and selling fish in the markets. This was among the greatest transgressions, an act of disobedience to Allah.
พฤติกรรมดังกล่าวกลายเป็นที่แพร่หลาย ผู้คนทำการจับปลากันอย่างเปิดเผยในวันเสาร์ และขายกันตามท้องตลาด นี่เป็นการละเมิดต่อคำสั่งของอัลลอฮฺ
As they openly committed this act of disobedience, the Muslim scholars among them warned them by telling them to stop their evil acts. They told them to fear Allah, but they arrogantly refused. As a result, these people of goodness decided to build a wall to separate themselves from those sinners, whereby they would stop living with them.
One night Allah’s order of revenge came upon the transgressors. Allah punished those sinners by mutating them into animals.
พวกเขากระทำการละเมิดกันอย่างออกหน้าออกตา แม้อุละมาอ์จะทัดทานต่อการกระทำนั้นให้ยำเกรงอัลลอฮฺ แต่ความโอหังหาได้ลดไม่ ดังนั้น กัลยาณชนจึงได้สร้างกำแพงเพื่อแบ่งแยกออกจากทุรชน เพื่อยุติการคบค้าสมาคมกับชนโฉด ในค่ำคืนหนึ่งอัลลอฮฺทรงลงโทษทัณฑ์แก่ผู้ละเมิดดังกล่าว โดยการสาปเป็นสัตว์ ต่าง ๆ
It was said that their youth were transformed into monkeys and their elders into pigs. The next morning as those who commanded the lawful and forbade the unlawful woke up and went on with their daily business by going to work and going to worship, they realised that they had not seen any of the transgressors. Strange, they thought, as they wondered among each other where they could be. One person put up a ladder to see over the dividing wall, and there he was greatly astonished to see what he had seen. The transgressors had been transformed into monkeys with tails, screaming and jumping on top of each other. He also saw that they had been transformed into pigs making hideous noises. With astonishment, they opened the doors and entered onto the transformed pigs and monkeys.
ว่ากันว่า เยาวชนคนหนุ่มสาวถูกสาปเป็นลิง ส่วนผู้เฒ่าที่ชรากลายเป็นหมู ครั้นรุ่งเช้าของวันใหม่ ผู้ที่ตักเตือนกันในสิ่งที่ดีและห้ามปรามจากความชั่ว ออกทำมาหากินและอิบาดะฮฺตามประสาไปวัน ๆ พวกเขาแปลกใจว่าทุรชนหายหัวกันไปไหนหมด กัลป์ยาณชนงงงวยกันพักใหญ่ คงคิดว่าตนพลัดถิ่นแล้วกระมัง จึงมีกัญชนคนหนึ่งปีนบันใดขึ้นไปชะโงกหน้าผ่านกำแพง เขาตกใจสุดขีดกับสิ่งที่เขาเห็นกลุ่มทุรชนกลายเป็นลิงกระโดดโลดแล่นกันไปมา และยังเห็นชนที่กลายเป็นหมู อู๊ด อู๊ด จมูกบานหน้าเกลียดเป็นที่สุด
As they came in, each transformed monkey would approach his human relative sniffing his clothes and weeping. His human relative would say “didn’t we warn you?” and the monkey would affirm that fact by nodding his head.
ครั้นกลุ่มกัลยาณชนคนผู้ดีเดินใกล้เข้ามา มนุษย์ลิงกังไม่รอช้า จู่สูดดมเสื้อผ้าอาภรณ์ลูบไล้เป็นการใหญ่ กลุ่มกัลยาณชน คนผู้ดี มีศักดิ์เป็นพวกพ้อง วจีว่า “เรามิได้ทัดทานสูเจ้ากระนั้นหรือ?!” มนุษย์ลิงผงกหัวสิโรราบต่อความจริง
It was said that before the punishment of mutation took place, the people were divided into three groups. One group disobeyed and fished on Saturday, and they were about seventy thousand. They were the ones who got mutated. A second group, which was about twelve thousand, did not sin. They were the ones that warned the sinners about the consequences of their actions. And the third group were the ones that did not sin, but did not warn others against sinning. Those third group who did not sin and did not warn others said to the second group, “Why do you warn the sinners, whom Allah will punish and destroy?” They were expecting Allah’s punishment upon the ones that disobeyed His orders. They had knowledge about Allah’s punishment of previous nations for their disobedience.
ว่ากันว่าก่อนที่ทุรชนคนโฉดจะกลายพันธ์เป็นสัตว์ พวกเขาแบ่งเป็นฝักเป็นฝ่ายออก 3 พวก คือ
(1) กลุ่มไม่เชื่อฟังอัลลอฮฺ และหาปลาในวันเสาร์ ซึ่งมีด้วยกันประมาฌ 70,000 คน กลุ่มนี้ คือ กลุ่มที่กลายพันธุ์
(2) กลุ่มนี้มีประมาณ 12,000 คน กลุ่มนี้มิได้กระทำการฝ่าฝืนแต่ประการใด ทว่ากลุ่มนี้ทัดทานการกระทำของทุรชน
(3) กลุ่มนี้มิได้กระทำบาป และมิได้ทัดทานต่อทุรชน กล่าวคือ ไม่กระทำบาป แต่ทำเป็นไม่รู้ไม่ชี้ต่อคนชั่ว กลุ่มนี้ยังกล่าวแก่กลุ่มคนดี (กลุ่ม 2) ว่า พวกเจ้าจะไปทัดทานทุรชนด้วยเหตุใดเล่า รอให้อัลลอฮฺลงทัณฑ์เถิด กลุ่มนี้หวังว่าการลงโทษจากอัลลอฮฺจักประสบแก่ผู้ฝ่าฝืนคำสั่งอัลลอฮฺ เพราะพวกเขาเป็นชนที่รู้ดียิ่งถึงการลงโทษของอัลลอฮฺต่อชนรุ่นก่อน ๆ ที่ไม่เชื่อฟังอัลลอฮฺ
To that question the second group that had warned the sinners answered “We warned them to remind them, as perhaps they would refrain from sinning and go back to the obedience of Allah.”
ครั้นได้สดับฟังเช่นนั้น กลุ่ม 2 ถกว่า เราทัดทานทุรชนเผื่อว่าลางทีพวกเขาจะห่างไกลจากบาปและกลับเนื้อกลับตัวสู่ธรรมะ
The first group was the only group Allah punished. Allah saved the other two groups from punishment. None of those mutated lived past three days, during which they did not eat, drink or multiply. The punished people were made a far-reaching example to the nations that followed and to those that saw them and knew about their doom.
กลุ่มที่ 1 คือ กลุ่มที่อัลลอฮฺทรงให้บทเรียนราคาแพง ส่วนอีก 2 กลุ่มนั้น อัลลอฮฺทรงให้ความปลอดภัยแด่พวกเขา ไม่มีผู้ใดถูกสาปเป็นสัตว์ แม้จะผ่านไป 3 วันแล้ว ซึ่งเป็นช่วงเวลาที่พวกเขามิได้บริโภคปลา สำหรับกลุ่มที่รับโทษถือเป็นอุทาหรณ์ต่อผู้ที่พบเห็นและทายาทรุ่นลูกรุ่นหลานสืบไป...[จบ]
وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
